Custom Tours
Looking for something tailored just for you? In addition to my regularly scheduled hikes and driving tours, I offer custom experiences on other commercially approved trails and scenic locations throughout the Ketchikan area. If you have a specific interest or destination in mind, please reach out—I’m happy to design a tour that fits your goals, pace, and curiosity.
Below are a few popular custom-tour options:
Totem Bight State Historical Park: Totem & Culture Tour: Explore the artistry and traditions of the Haida and Tlingit peoples. Stroll beneath towering carved totems, step inside an oceanfront clan house, and hear stories that bring this historic site to life. This is an excellent option for guests who love culture, history, and photography.
Bear Viewing: Often one of the top experiences on the list for coming to Alaska is seeing a bear! But not too far away and definitely, not too close, right? Well, from mid to late summer, we have the perfect spot for when the salmon are running and the tide is out. Bring your cameras and binoculars (I have two sets) and watch safely from above the river bank for the chance of seeing a black bear and often eagles fish for salmon. *Wildlife viewing not guaranteed. Tour best in August and September and timed for when the tide is out.
Landscape Photography Tour: Focus your time on capturing the beauty of Ketchikan’s rainforest, shorelines, and mountain vistas. Whether you’re shooting on a DSLR or a smartphone, we’ll seek out compelling compositions and explore simple techniques to elevate your photos. Great for beginners and experienced photographers alike.
Get Married or Renew Your Vows in Alaska: As a credentialed minister with the Universal Life Church (recognized in Alaska), I can officiate wedding ceremonies and vow renewals in a breathtaking natural setting. Picture a quiet State Park platform overlooking a waterfall as you exchange or reaffirm your vows. A bottle of champagne or non-alcoholic sparkling wine is included. Please contact me in advance so we can review ceremony details and complete the required state paperwork.
