TEAGUE WHALEN holds a B.A. in Psychology and English and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing. A former tenured Associate Professor of English and Communication at the University of Alaska Southeast, he brings a rich background in education and storytelling to the trail. Teague has led college hiking trips in New Hampshire’s White Mountains and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, and since 2016, he’s been guiding hiking tours in Ketchikan, where his deep love for the outdoors meets a passion for meaningful connection.
